GAME SEATING ETIQUETTE (revised 4.4.11)

When two CSA teams are involved, the designated home team (teams listed first on a schedule) is kindly asked to sit on either the North or West side of the field. The visiting team will kindly sit on the South or East side. When only one CSA teams is involved, the CSA team selects its preferred touch line (side of the field). The visiting team will kindly sit on the opposite touchline.

NMCSL U9 AND ABOVE PLAYERS CARDS

*IMPORTANT Age groups U9 and above** – NMCSL now requires all players to have a player card with a photo. Coaches will provide the card and your parents will need to provide a 1×1 head shot. If you haven’t received your players’ cards or if you have any questions, please reach out to Kris Casteel at vpcoaches@colleyvillesoccer.net

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A COACH?

Most CSA recreational coaches are volunteer moms and dads. There’s no experience necessary, just the desire to have a fun and create an enjoyable experience for our players. If you’re interested in donating your time to our little ones, there are a few things you’ll be required to do:

  1. Register as a coach here
  2. No one will be permitted to coach at CSA without submitting a background check
  3. After your background check clears, the Registrar will issue you a coaches card. You will need to display your coaches card at all times during all CSA games.

BACKGROUND CHECK

Each fall season, every new and returning coach are required to submit/update their background check. When you’ve completed your background check, the registrar will issue you your coaches card. Every coach is required to display their card while coaching during all CSA matches.

ROSTERS AND TEAM INFORMATION

Coaches may utilize GOTSOCCER to view and print team rosters, manage individual player information and email players at any time other than during team formation.

PLEASANT RUN PARK USAGE REGULATIONS

Pleasant Run Park is comprised of game fields and practice fields maintained by the City of Colleyville Parks and Recreation. During spring and fall CSA soccer seasons, any team utilizing the practice fields must be registered through CSA. During the recreational offseason any club or academy team must register with the Colleyville Parks and Rec in order to utilize the practice fields on a first come first serve basis.

NMCSL GAME/MISCONDUCT REPORT SUBMISSION

All U9 and above coaches are required to submit a NMCSL Game & Misconduct Report (PDF) or (Word) to the referee prior to every game. Please make sure you fill it out completely. When you complete a game, please make sure you report the final score through GOTSOCCER

  1. Dial 866.391.0662 and press 1 to enter your score
  2. Enter the numeric event ID – “16395″
  3. Enter the four digit pin # – “GOAL”
  4. When prompted, enter the game # from your online schedule
  5. When prompted, enter the home and visitor scores.

All scores must be entered within 48 hours

SOME HELPFUL REMINDERS

The following is a simple overview of some of our most basic rules. For a complete list, please make sure your familiarize yourself with our Coaches Rules/Regs and FAQs pages.

  1. Every player must play at least 50% of every game. Please see the Rules/Regs page for a list of exceptions.
  2. Coaches are allowed no more than 3 organized events per week. This may include a team practice, skills session (or Monday Night Futbol) and a game.
  3. Once the game begins, coaches may enter the field when:
    • U5 – One coach is allowed on the field during play as long as he/she doesn’t interfere with referee or opponents. Coach is not allowed by the goal.
    • U6 – One coach is allowed on the field after a goal. The coach should not be on the field during active play. The coach may attend to an injury if summoned by referee
    • U7 – For 1st 3 games, one coach is allowed on the field after a goal. the coach should not be on the field during active play. The coach can attend to an injury if summoned by referee
    • U8 & above – The coach should not be on the field unless summoned by the referee

COACH AND PARENTAL CONDUCT

Only coaches should address the referees. All coaches and parents are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the CSA Zero Tolerance Policy as well as Coaches Code of Conduct (PDF) and the Parental Code of Conduct.

When conditions are questionable, there are a few options for information:

  3. Check the field status on our Fields Page
  4. If you have an away game, please make sure you call the appropriate Rainout Hotline found on our Fields Page. Remember, when in doubt, show up.

CSA makes every attempt to ensure games are played as originally scheduled, however if a game is unable to be played, please reach out to your appropriate Age Group Commissioner for assistance in rescheduling (if available). For a complete overview, download our Game Cancellation Policy (PDF).
