FAQ
HOW DO I REGISTER?
It’s a fairly easy process! You can register via online by visiting our Registration Page. You will need to provide your child’s name (no nicknames please!), birth date, address, school information, etc. It’ll walk you through the process. There’s a $3 fee to process the online registration (CSA picks up the cost of processing the credit card).
or…
You can register your child in person. We will have one walk-in registration each season just before regular registration ends. Walk in registration is usually held at the Colleyville Community Center at 5301 Riverwalk Dr in Colleyville (back behind Market Street.) In the past, we have held it in other places as well – any changes will be posted on our Home Page and Registration Page
DO I NEED A BIRTH CERTIFICATE?
YES! Plan on bringing a legal copy with you to your first practice, and we’ll make a permanent copy of it in our system so you’ll never again have to provide a copy to CSA. Then we’ll get it back to your coach to return to you. Otherwise, you can scan and email a copy to registrar@colleyvillesoccer.net
WHAT IF I REGISTER LATE?
HINT: if you’re a returning player, DON’T DO IT!
Early Registration is cool, you even save $10 by registering during Early Registration. General Registration is ok, too, as returning players which played LAST SEASON (Spring 2011) get to be on their same teams, just like Early Registration players, with no issues. LATE Registration (which opens after the close of general registration and team formation) is great if you’re new to soccer or if you wish to play on a different team, but for returning players that wish to stay on their same team, it’s the pitts. Any player, new or returning, registering at this time will be placed on a waiting list (again, not our rules, but we’re bound by them). Players on the wait list are assigned to teams as space on a team is available (most likely NOT your team from last season), on a first-come/first served basis. CSA does not AND CAN NOT guarantee placement for any player registering late – this includes returning players. A refund will be issued to any player who registers but is not placed on a team.
DO I NEED ANYTHING ELSE TO REGISTER?
Possibly! If you don’t live in Colleyville, you no longer need to complete a Home Association Release Form in order to complete the registration process, but if you’re registering for academy, you’ll need to fill out a PAL Form. Please email a completed form back to the registrar at registrar@colleyvillesoccer.net
