FALL 2018 Boys & Girls Recreational Soccer

Fall 2018 Registration for Recreational soccer is open May 1st through July 17th.   Late Registration opens July 23rd.  Please note that latecomers are not guaranteed team placement and usually cannot be returned to their former teams.

Players should expect to hear from their coach regarding their practice and game schedule AFTER our Coaches Meeting in mid-August.

Evolution Academy and Select Programs are handled separately.  If you are interested in Evo, and are not already in touch with our coaches, please check out the Evolution Home Page for more info.

    President's corner... JOIN OUR BOARD!

We've accomplished a lot in my 6 years as your association President, including:

    • Lighted Practice Field Irrigation and Leveling …DONE! Work has included leveling, irrigation installation, and seeding with NEW GRASS, with $30,000.00 of this upgrade coming from Colleyville Soccer. The end of the dust bowl! This was a 4-year process to bring this upgrade to fruition. Thank you to all our Colleyville Soccer Families for your support in getting this much-needed improvement completed! Now we’re looking for more lighted fields!
    • Evo Academy and some Select team games on CSA fields …Evolution Academy (and now a few SELECT TEAMS!) play on Sundays in the PrimeTime League, plays primarily at Meadowmere and MoneyGram Park, but now we host our Academy teams  (and some Evo Select teams) on our own turf for their HOME games!
    • Upgraded coaches training …which led to NSCAA Level 2 Certification and our Level 4 Certification Training, which we’ll be replicating next season year again!
    • Addition of U4 league and a MENS TEAM (Plays Saturday evenings, 7v7, field 13!)
    • Striping of practice fields (since we can’t practice on game fields per Colleyville City Ordinanace, punishable by fine, so please don’t try!)
      • We own our own striping equipment, field paint, and equipment barn!
    • Elimination of non-CSA competitive teams from Pleasant Run practice facility
    • Ref program which is the best in North Texas:
    • Incentive program
    • Increased pay
    • Refs paid in cash
    • Ref appreciation signage and program
    • The only North Texas association with MORE refs than needed!
    • Establishment of the Volunteer/Coach of the Year award, on display at Londoner
    • Folding benches for U4-U9 Saturday play, and paid staff to put them out and collect them
    • Semi-permanent benches for U10-U19 play
      • No kids need sit on wet grass for Saturday play for the first time ever in Colleyville history!
    • New concessions setup, with enormous help from our beloved Coach Chuck Baudrau (also our EVP/Registration) our concessions has been transformed into 1) a valued service, open most days where significant games will be played (weeknights, too!), and 2) for the first time ever our concessions is a significant contributor to our operating fund!
    • CSA now has a seat at the Parks Board, as do all Colleyville Youth Sports associations.
    • Record numbers of players, record numbers of teams!
    • Created a Coaches Resource Manual which is distributed at our COACHES MEETING each season, then sent out again to all coaches in digital form via email. The Resource Manual provides valuable information and extreme detail on many subjects which assist a coach throughout the season, but we also started creating a full PowerPoint presentation to accompany the material we present at our Coaches Meetings, helping to make the material and the meeting memorable (and more entertaining!) which has ALSO facilitated the end of this meeting in under an hour for last several seasons!
    • Upgraded uniform kit for all players, and ordering of uniforms (for Fall) based on actual sizes of your players, not ordered hit-or-miss as in previous years. We’re still fine-tuning the process, but our kids and parents appreciate the huge effort.
    • Enhanced Coaches Training scheduled to now coincide with Coaches Meeting, increasing participation of both events!
    • Moved our accounting to Quickbooks Online, and ensured that several of the logins for the site are READ ONLY and available to all our coaches and members. Want to see how CSA money is being spent, take a look. THAT'S TRANSPARENCY, and that's how it should be everywhere!
    • Hired an outside CPA firm to oversee all CSA accounts and handle day-to-day bookkeeping, freeing our Treasurer for the first time ever to spend time overseeing our finances and dealing with budgets and projections rather than being a one-person bookkeeping office!
    • City is now open to adding more lighted practice fields! Negotiations are ongoing, as is fundraising for the project
